University of Alabama Core Curriculum:

You must meet the University of Alabama core requirements as stated in
the Undergraduate Catalog.

You can get credit for the Core Curriculum through transfer credit from two or four-year colleges, through distance learning courses at the university or other accredited institutions and from traditional university classes. The Registrar in the College of Human Environmental Sciences Dean’s office will advise applicants on which courses are acceptable for the University of Alabama core.
ExRHM Foundations Online Seminar:
(3 semester hours)
This required orientation seminar, an intensive learning experience, serves as the first course for all ExRHM students.
ExRHM Online Classes :
(18-43 semester hours)
To meet program requirements, you must complete a minimum of six ExRHM on-line classes. Executive
online classes listed here.
All classes require written assignments, quizzes and exams, and on-line discussion.
ExRHM Individual Seminar Projects:

The Individual Seminar Projects are designed by students to extend and implement concepts and strategies learned in the ExRHM online classes.
Capstone Senior
Project:
(12 semester hours)
The Capstone Senior Project is a learning project designed by the student to include research, analysis and synthesis of a particular subject related to hospitality management.
Electives:
(variable semester hours)
The hours required for electives will vary, depending on the number of ExRHM classes taken and your past college experience. Electives may be earned from the transfer credit from other institutions, correspondence courses, on-line learning, independent study/learning contracts and prior learning.
Student Advising:
An Executive Restaurant and Hospitality faculty advisor will work with you in choosing coursework that fits your professional and personal goals.
